Making sponsors visible: what drivers can do during the season

Sponsors want to see what their support delivers. Five simple habits help drivers and teams keep their partners visible all season long.

A logo on the car is a start. For a sponsor to stay on board next year, they need to see what their support delivers. That does not happen with a single post after the season finale, but with communication all year round.

1. Make a plan before the season

Agree with your partners what will be communicated: how often, on which channels and with which content. A simple editorial plan for race weekends and the time in between prevents sponsors from only appearing by chance.

2. Collect content on race weekends

The best images are taken at the track: in the garage, at the briefing, on the podium. Deliberately plan shots where partners are clearly visible, and secure the content the same day. What goes out on Monday is often already too late.

3. Mention and tag sponsors directly

Tag partners in posts and stories and mention them in press releases. It takes little time and shows appreciation. Many sponsors are happy to share such content, which increases reach for both sides.

4. Report regularly

A short report after each race weekend helps partners justify their commitment internally: results, the best images, media mentions and the reach of your own channels. Honest numbers matter more than big ones.

5. Use the winter break

Between seasons there is time for reviews, behind-the-scenes content and preparation. Staying present in winter means starting the new season with more attention and better arguments for talks with new partners.
